EPISODE 67 - "THE Beast is Awake in Bottomless Lake"
SCOOBY-DOO, Where Are You!
SEASON 3, EPISODE 16
It's the end of an era! That sentence of course refers to this, the season finale of perennial podcast favourite Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! and nothing else. That's right, things are coming to a close (in terms of this specific show way back in 1978).
Given that the gang cross the border to the north this is an international episode. What better way to acknowledge the long-distance hurdles that people once faced communicating across the 49th Parallel by adding a distinct tinniness to one of the host's audio tracks? An excellent idea that surely no one will mind!

EP. 66 - "THE LEGEND OF ALICE MAY"
SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERY INCORPORATED - S1E6
In an alternate universe this entire episode revolves around the latest transfer to Crystal Cove High School, a semi-famous foot model of some renown. It's very similar title? "The Leg-End of Alice May". That joke only works when written out, which is why it's featured in this description.
It's back to school for Evan and Luke, as they return to Mystery Incorporated, a series beloved by many, if not necessarily by the podcasting duo themselves. As the overarching mystery finally starts to unravel, will the same be said for their partnership? Listen and find out!

EP. 65 - "APOCALYPSE RIGHT NOW!"
SCOOBY APOCALYPSE - ISSUE #2
Do you like your heroes tattooed, moustachioed, and gloved? Do you like your heroines overly violent, diminutive, and also gloved? If so you may have picked up and read Scooby Apocalypse, which may be how you found this podcast episode covering one issue in the series.
While some may categorize this week's offering as an unrelenting outpouring of constant negativity, that couldn't be further from the truth. There's also improv! Just a fun little thing Evan and Luke are trying out (and REALLY enjoying)!

EP. 64 - "SCOOBY THE BARBARIAN/NO SHARKING ZONE"
THE NEW SCOOBY AND SCRAPPY-DOO SHOW - S1E1
This week's episode brings you two mysteries for the price of one! Not only that, but the cost of each Scooby Dudes episode is a grand total of FREE!! You're getting twice as many costumed criminals for No Money Down!!!
In the first half we have the terrifying Nordic raiders who sailed the seas, and in the second one of the monstrous fish that still swim their depths. Will Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, and Scrappy succumb to an axe or a many-toothed maw? Tune in to find out!

EP. 63 - "Lock the Door, It’s a Minotaur!"
SCOOBY-DOO and Scrappy-Doo - S1E15
Are you ready to be aMAZEd at this week's episode, getting truly LOST and ENTANGLED in the adventures of Scoob and his pals? A heads-up to any labyrinth enthusiasts out there, but there's a DEAD END in your future.
That's right, while there may be a bull-headed beast terrorizing the gang, there's absolutely no need to navigate any twists and turns. Instead, there are two cool guys enjoying their own little visit to the isle of Helios (ball of yarn not needed).

EP. 62 - "SPOOKY SPACE KOOK"
SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU! - S1E15
Two co-hosts named Evan and Luke
Watched an episode starring Space Kook
The monster looked rad
The mystery bad
Any insight was likely a fluke
Staying up penning copy all night
One sad co-host sat by laptop light
Wondering why he decided to write two limericks like honestly doesn't he care about going to sleep, what is wrong with him???

EP. 61 - "POMPEII AND CIRCUMSTANCE"
WHAT’S NEW, SCOOBY-DOO? - S1E13
There's a truly hilarious bit that Luke and Evan did, riffing on how one might break down the song title "Pomp and Circumstance", that fortunately was not recorded, because, hey, what if one of them wants to get into politics one day?
Risque intros aside, this episode which takes place in Italy spawns commentary which contains zero (0) mentions of the Mafia, Chef Boyardee, gesturing while speaking, the phrase "Mamma Mia!", or references to Mario OR Luigi! The Scooby Dudes dare you to find another podcast more culturally sensitive than this one.

EP. 60 - "The Chiller Diller Movie Thriller"
the SCOOBY-DOO show - S2E5
Has a certain genre of adult entertainment ever made the pun that blood is thicc-er than water? If not, is that particular industry on the lookout for marketers and copywriters? Asking for a friend.
Luke and Evan never expected to review an episode that would lead to questions like the ones above. Yet that's what this week brought them, a traditional vengeful spirit coupled with a disturbing sub(?)text among Scoob and his cousins to keep it in the family.

EP. 59 - "The Haunted Showboat"
the New SCOOBY-DOO Movies - S2E2
This week Scooby-Doo and the rest of Mystery Incorporated collaborate with everyone's favourite fictional teen girl band! And no, we don't mean Jem and the Holograms, the focus of a very 2015 film directed by Jon M. Chu. Which isn't to say that he's a bad director, because he helmed Crazy Rich Asians, and it was really excellent! Anyone who hasn't seen it yet should go do so immediately. It is a really important movie, and very crucially also succeeds as an entertaining romantic comedy and, uh...
Right, they team up with Josie and the Pussycats. Me-OW!

EP. 58 - "That's Monstertainment"
the 13 ghosts of SCOOBY-DOO - S1E5
A resounding question echoes through the minds of people around the world. What is "monstertainment"? How does one define this portmanteau which blends the monstrous and the entertaining? The fifth episode of The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo is here to answer it once and for all.
And Evan and Luke are here to interpret that answer! Sure, listening may be a little like watching a German dub of Borat with French subtitles (an experience one of the two co-hosts definitely had), but if that's not a guarantee that it will at least be memorable, nothing else could possibly be.

EP. 57 - "Party Arty"
SHAGGY & SCOOBY-DOO GET A CLUE! - S1E4
Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! is far from Luke and Evan's favourite series. It's missing 3/5 of the gang and typically has a grand total of zero mysteries. This week, however, the Scooby Dudes are making up for all of that.
What this show lacks in costumed criminals these co-hosts make up for in humour and, particularly prominent in this episode, physical acting. That's right, in Episode 57 the two ratchet up the number of facial expressions by a very wide margin. It's so much more entertainment than you signed up for!

EP. 56 - "Grand Scam"
Be Cool, SCOOBY-DOO! - S1E5
"Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd-" is what one of the co-hosts of this podcast might say. Swiftly followed up, of course, with "Take me out literally anywhere, please. I have been single for a decade. I don't want to die alone."
Poorly disguised pleas aside, the Scooby Dudes are back for the second baseball-themed episode of the month, with Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! subbing out orientalism for some good old fashioned comedy. Seriously, the two have absolutely nothing in common. Their Venn diagram is just two circles a healthy distance from each other.

EP. 55 - "THE SONG OF MYSTERY"
SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERY INCORPORATED - S1E5
When Luke and Evan were in college a fairly common topic of conversation was how many children (typically in the six-year-old range) one might be able to defeat in a no-holds-barred all-out brawl. Tusks, claws, and superhuman agility not withstanding, this week the gang basically have the perfect setup to definitively answer resolve the question.
Their opting not to participate in this thought experiment is far from the only disappointment this week. For one, both co-hosts thought this episode would be edited and uploaded much earlier, but alas, at the time of this writing both remain tragically awake. Another is a shortcoming of Luke's that may keep him from every becoming a successful foley artist.

EP. 54 - "THE Demon of the Dugout"
SCOOBY-DOO and Scrappy-Doo - S1E7
There are so very many reasons to visit the Land of the Rising Sun. The cuisine, to be sure, is top among them. For those who are avid sports fans, one might consider stepping out of their comfort zone and spectating a sumo wrestling match. Or perhaps, like the gang themselves, it's worth watching an American team compete at "their" pastime.
Not only have Scooby-Doo and company visited Nippon for this bizarre reason, they've also opted to take along his nephew who, let's be honest, is not the most respectful, cultural differences notwithstanding. What will be the result of these ugly Americans and their visit? Listen and find out!

EP. 53 - "THE HARUM-SCARUM SANITARIUM"
THE SCOOBY-DOO SHOW - S1E7
This week four teens and their dog try their best to leave the Great White North to return to the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. Their adventures are recapped by an American and a Canadian who embody the truth that, regardless of nation, you can't put a tariff on friendship.
Having just wished a happy birthday to the country north of the 49th Parallel, there are just two short days from the release of this episode until the latter's. After that's passed, all you can really do is live your best life. Ain't no birthdays, least that's what you're dressed like.

EP. 52 - "THE BABYSITTER FROM BEYOND"
A PUP NAMED SCOOBY-DOO - S1E6
A babysitter's club is always joked about being a cudgel used to beat infants into submission, but never a spot for childcare professionals who are looking to enjoy the nightlife. It's also not the name of this podcast, although the co-hosts spend far too much time in the intro pretending it is.
Given three "villains", the addition of Shaggy's parents and his sister, and the sheer number of tangents Luke and Evan go on, it's a miracle that this episode clocks in at just over an hour. It's helpful to remember that by definition miracles are always positive, and as a result this episode must be a good one.

EP. 51 - "THERE'S NO CREATURE LIKE SNOW CREATURE"
WHAT'S NEW, SCOOBY-DOO? - S1E1
By titling their show What's New, Scooby-Doo? the creators really gave themselves a tall order. What was new in the lives of the Great Dane and his four teenaged friends? What would the latest series, debuting in the early aughts, bring to the franchise that it had been missing?
Luke and Evan discover two of those answers to be robots and celebrity guest stars, neither of which hold all that much novelty when it comes to the experiences of Mystery Incorporated. But that's fine, since the co-hosts are just as happy to discuss stand-up comedians, obnoxious scientists, and a multitude of other tangents.

EP. 50 - "SCOOBY'S NIGHT OF FROZEN FRIGHT" (W/ IBTISAM BROWN)
SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU! - S2E3
"Who is Ibtisam Brown?" you may be thinking. Who is this person who is so deserving as to be a guest on this podcast, let alone the first ever? That's a pretty intense line of questioning that could be answered if you just listened in, but it's true that the purpose of this description is to, as the name suggests, describe the episode.
This very special episode of Scooby Dudes features someone who is very important to Evan. If they didn't exist it's safe to say that his relationship with Luke wouldn't be nearly as close as it is today. It would somehow be closer, and that would be terrible.

EP. 49 - "DAPHNE & VELMA"
DIRECT-TO-DVD/BLU-RAY/DIGITAL HD
Not only is this episode focused on an entire film, it's also live action! The podcast format this time around is more review than recap! Evan is very sick and all of his coughs have been left in! Luke is 100% his normal self!
Join your daring duo as they dive deep into Daphne & Velma, voraciously validating (not vilifying) the previously viewed video. Not only that, but they record roughly as much content as the film itself, making this a really confusing audio commentary track if you play it at the same time you watch the movie.

EP. 48 - "POODLE JUSTICE"
BE COOL, SCOOBY-DOO! - S1E4
When they first put this podcast together co-hosts Luke and Evan decided that it would never bear an explicit tag, which did not stop them from getting as close to the line as possible. On that note, the previous episode actually marks the first time they felt they needed to use that designation.
This week, however, they have opted for judicious use of bleeps to censor (or Hyde) jokes that are quite certainly too dicey for most. And all of that while recapping an installment of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, a series that truly is fun for the whole family.

EP. 46 - "REFLECTIONS IN A GHOULISH EYE"
THE 13 GHOSTS OF SCOOBY-DOO - S1E4
The Scooby Dudes just wanna party, party just for you. They just want the money (preferably in their Patreon account), money just for them. One of the two has listened to "This is America" too many times, and may or may not have had it playing while writing this.
Speaking of songs, returning to 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo means yet another spirit to snag and stuff back into that chest, with plenty of musical numbers along the way. Join your pair o' normal hosts as they join the gang down in Morocco, where the sun is hot and the camels walk-O.

EP. 45 - "REVENGE OF THE MAN CRAB"
SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERY INCORPORATED - S1E4
The Scooby Dudes kick things off with a tongue twister and wrap them up with a frank and rather sobering discussion on HBO's Westworld. It's the television phenomenon so powerful that even speaking the title must be done so in a whisper. Or at least that's what some of us have been told.
It's back to Mystery Inc., a show that has soured over time in one of the co-host's mouths, much like . . . well, like most foods when left too long in someone's mouth, probably. That said, the diversions are expected, plentiful, and (hopefully) a great deal of fun.

EP. 44 - "TOO MANY SLEUTHS / RAVENOUS"
SCOOBY-DOO! WHERE ARE YOU? - ISSUE #92
What better time to do a topsy-turvy switcharoo episode than fifteen days after April Fool's? Imagine, if you will, Evan editing all of the audio and Luke doing, well, literally everything else. Keep imagining it, too, because that's not what you'll be hearing this week.
While Mystery Incorporated undergoes a bit of a costume change in the comic book that Evan and Luke cracked open, Scooby Dudes is the same as it's always been (as it always will be, forever and ever, amen).

EP. 43 - "HIGH SOCIETY SCOOBY"
SHAGGY & SCOOBY-DOO GET A CLUE! - S1E3
What do you call two podcasters who recap an episode called "High Society Scooby", which features one of pop culture's most highly suspected potheads, without once mentioning marijuana? A couple of damn professionals, that's what.
Not only that, but they're looking out for any and all listeners who have a nice neat 30-minute commute. Listen to half this episode on the way to work and the other half on the way back! Professional AND considerate. A real double threat, these guys.

EP. 42 - "SCOOBYNATURAL"
SUPERNATURAL - S13E16
Question: What do you get when you mix two monster-hunting brothers and their angelic companion with four mystery-solving teens, their talking dog, AND two podcast co-hosts? Answer: an almost 99 minute recap episode on just under 42 minutes of crossover.
It's "Scoobynatural" and not "Scoobernatural", as the Winchester brothers join these meddling kids and throw the gang's traditional mystery-solving (as well as their conceptions of their entire existences) way out of whack. Given how recording went, there's a chance this episode will be just as much a trip to you listeners.

EP. 41 - "SCOOBY-DOO! AND THE GROOVY GHOST"
SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERIES BY JAMES GELSEY #8
Did you know that Luke and Evan were both English majors? Honestly, it should've been readily apparent based on their diction, and that this episode description even includes a word like "diction". Collectively they're an extremely well-read duo, which is why this week they're tackling such a well-regarded piece of literature.
Listen as they take almost an entire hour and a half, their longest episode of 2018 to date, to break down a book that's just shy of 60 pages. Embarrassingly, if they had just read the entire thing aloud it almost certainly have been shorter.
Title card art by Tam.
EP. 40 - "A HIGHLAND FLING WITH A MONSTROUS THING"
THE SCOOBY-DOO SHOW - S3E6
EVAN AND LUKE DRINK AND RECORD AN EPISODE OF THIS PODCAST. As they mention in the intro, in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day the duo decide to share a few beers on mic, which won't be to everyone's taste. If it's not to yours, please come back next week when they will be 100% sober (but likely just as coherent).
You may be pleased to know that in spite of doing an episode inspired by St. Patrick's Day, the Scooby Dudes steer 100% clear of any and all negative stereotypes usually associated with that date and the people who celebrate it. They're progressive podcast co-hosts, and above all, as if you need a reminder, incredibly brave.
Title card art by Luke Doty.
EP. 39 - "THE SWISS ALPS AND TOKYO, JAPAN"
SCOOBY'S ALL-STAR LAFF-A-LYMPICS - S1E1
Luke and Evan do not burst out into a rendition of Queen's "We Are the Champions" because they're not hacks. They also don't make any attempts to sound out the Chariots of Fire theme. Though if you really think about it, maybe that's because covering the Laff-A-Lympics didn't really feel like winning.
Weeks after the 2018 Olympic Games came to a close in PyeongChang, South Korea, the Scooby Dudes decide to tackle a series that one would assume best fits the Olympic values of Friendship, Respect, and Excellence. Instead they find themselves having to embody the Paralympic values of Determination, Inspiration, Courage, and Equality in an attempt to get through the whole thing.

EP. 38 - "ALL PAWS ON DECK"
BE COOL, SCOOBY-DOO! - S1E3
So how about those Oscars, right? What an incredible celebration of the past year in film, which one of this podcast's co-hosts completely missed as he was readying this episode for release. To be fair, the likelihood his counterpart watched it live is pretty slim.
It's another return to the show that started it all, and the Scooby Dudes clearly have their sea legs. Not only is the energy high, this week features an all-time record for most censorship. Not necessarily in a bad way, as there's no possible chance that listeners will be able to tell what's been bleeped out.

EP. 37 - "SCOOBY'S PEEP-HOLE PANDEMONIUM / THE HAND OF HORROR"
THE NEW SCOOBY-DOO MYSTERIES - S1E2
Are you a president or a person with a family? If so, consider this particular episode of Scooby Dudes to be tailor-made just for you! That's right, we released this installment on a federal/statutory holiday, depending on where you live, for you to enjoy during your time off! (Also applicable if you live on PEI, Nova Scotia, or really, really like Louis Riel).
Created especially for you is a recap of two fairly lacklustre episodes. But never fear, just like Rumplestiltskin your intrepid co-hosts know how to spin straw into solid gold. They'll also absolutely flip out if you reveal you know their names, so please refer to them as SD1 and SD2, respectively (the one you respect more is SD1).
Title card art by Napassorn Sinsiri.
EP. 36 - "A SCOOBY-DOO VALENTINE"
WHAT'S NEW, SCOOBY-DOO? - S3E3
Valentine's Day is a day for love to be expressed between a man and a woman. Or a woman and a woman. Or two men. And sometimes those two men co-host a Scooby-Doo podcast together. Depending on the circumstances, it may be that the love, platonic or romantic, is not reciprocated. That's Valentine's Day, folks.
The Scooby Dudes hope that you love one another as much, scratch that, more than Luke loves surprising his wife on their special day. More than Evan loves interning at his new gig, which was not at all mentioned in this episode. As always, they love their listeners, if not necessarily one another.
Title card art by Napassorn Sinsiri.
EP. 35 - "NIGHT OF THE LIVING BURGER"
A PUP NAMED SCOOBY-DOO - S2E5
Are you all alone? Do you have a parent or guardian with you, or any other adult supervision? If the answer is "no" then you're in the exact same shoes as the characters in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. If it's beginning to dawn on you that maybe you can't be held responsible for your own safety then, well, this was a weird time to realize that.
The Scooby Dudes are tackling an episode that made them feel strange. And not like their bodies were changing, but more like they weren't sure what was real and secure in the world anymore. Basically this was a truly surreal episode to recap and they try to keep, and succeed in keeping, things fun. But things also got pretty dark.

EP. 34 - "THE SECRET OF THE GHOST RIG"
SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERY INCorporated - S1E3
We all have different ways with managing our own disappointment. Some people fall victim to their vices, while still others drastically change up the format of their podcast at the risk of alienating listeners. Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc., our expectations were so high...
A gigantic haunted semi-trailer truck runs rampant through Crystal Cove, and if that wasn't enough the episode the Scooby Dudes are covering is also dripping with romantic conflict and cutthroat politics! But really that's just the events being talked up for this description. It's an okay episode, and the hosts do their very best to craft a superior recap (to varying levels of success).
Title card art by Claire Bradley.
EP. 33 - "SCOOBY-DOO! AND THE BEACH BEASTIE"
6TH DIRECT-TO-DVD SPECIAL
Let's be honest, in most circles the descriptor "direct-to-video" is a pretty damning one. In the case of Scooby-Doo cartoons, however, it can actually be a pretty great sign. Higher budget, typical twenty-something-minute runtime, no downsides!
The Scooby Dudes join the gang in Florida, a state famous for the sun, surf, and sand. As is tradition a monster appears, comprised of one of those three components! If you think about it, it's actually pretty lucky for these teens that it wasn't a fiery solar ogre or a gritty silica-based behemoth.

EP. 32 - "HASSLE IN THE CASTLE"
SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU! - S1E2
Some might ask why the internet needs yet another Scooby-Doo podcast, or one that recaps or covers any TV show at all. Why not focus on a more high-brow art form, like literature? Well, the Scooby Dudes are the type of duo who believe you can have your cake and eat it too.
Not content to constantly reference Mark Z. Danielewski's acclaimed novel week after week, their first recap has them discuss not one, but two greats in the world of children's lit. All of that on top of a pretty drastic change of formatting their episodes, which resulted in a much shorter installment than usual. Honestly, is there anything they can't do?
Title card art by Claire Bradley.
EP. 31 - "ME AND MY SHADOW DEMON"
THE 13 GHOSTS OF SCOOBY-DOO - S1E3
When did baggy jeans and gold chains become more fashionable than boater hats and canes? Upon further research, it would seem that baggy jeans and gold chains are actually no longer in style. No matter, the point is that what is currently popular will never hold a candle to whatever genre of music barbershop quartets sung!
I mean, can you even imagine a mellow acoustic cover of the titular song in this episode of The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo would sound like? Actually, probably not bad at all. Really, a mellow acoustic cover of practically anything is generally pretty timeless. Unrelated, but what do you think about this podcast's theme song?
Title card art by Evan Yeong.
EP. 30 - "A Frightened Hound Meets Demons Underground"
The ScoobY-Doo Show - S1E10
For the most part, you can really only meet somebody once. With that in mind, Luke and Evan never really touch on the fact that this episode of The Scooby-Doo Show has the title character (and frightened hound in question) first meeting one of the demons ABOVE ground. Sure, he bumps into the monster again beneath the surface, but at that point he's no longer meeting him!
Aren't you glad they decided to skim past those semantics? Instead the Scooby Dudes go deep into what these denizens of hell symbolize, as they terrorize the newly founded city of Seattle. There's also just a pinch of one-upmanship, as the two seemingly vie to see who can make the worst/best pun in this episode.

EP. 29 - "Bedlam in the Big Top"
ScoobY-Doo, Where Are You! - S1E10
It's troubling to consider that many writers "write what they know", and thus the only knowledge the handful who came together to write this particular episode of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! had about clowns was that they hypnotized people and threw darts at them. Those weren't bright and sunny childhoods, that's for sure.
Writing this the idea arose to put listener's minds at ease by assuring them that ultimately the clown that appears in this episode is harmless, but that really couldn't be further from the truth. This one definitely not only tries to murder four teens, but their dog, too. But hey, at least he's not trying to eat them.
Title card art by Evan Yeong.
EP. 28 - "Game of Chicken"
Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! - S1E2
Much like the title of this episode, this week Luke and Evan perform the conversational equivalent of driving directly at one another and waiting until the last possible second to see who will swerve out of the way first. Writing this was a joke at first, but honestly that's not inaccurate with some bits.
After a ten episode break they've returned to Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!, truly one of the high points of a beloved franchise. They have too many good things to say about the show, and a number of things to say about the creator that they hope are perceived as being good.

EP. 27 - "The Scooby Gang Goes Camping"
The ScoobY-Doo Series - EPISODE 1
YouTube. No, not a used up roll of paper towels that's been bent so that both ends are parallel to one another (that's a U-tube). YouTube was once exclusively the online home for people falling and hurting themselves, and is now primarily a place for music videos and movie trailers, with a rare smattering of original content.
This week Luke and Evan are covering some Scooby-Doo fan content by a name every one of you should be familiar with. That's right, it's the (in)famous Samster5677! They are to YouTube fan cartoons what Galileo is to the Sistine Chapel, which should really speak for itself.

EP. 26 - "WEDDING BELL BOOS!"
THE NEW SCOOBY AND SCRAPPY-DOO SHOW - S1E13
It's Halloween Week, and you know what that means! The Scooby Dudes are covering an episode about holy matrimony! Really, what with the dressing up and the focus on desserts, what could be more on theme than a wedding?
It's not just a celebration that binds together two families, either. Luke and Evan discuss the implications of one family owning another from generation to generation, and even find the time to offer a little history lesson about the Pilgrims and their relationship with the land's original inhabitants.

EP. 25 - "More Fondue for Scooby-Doo"
Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! - S1E2
This week, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo acquire a murder mystery game for three to six players, devised by Anthony E. Pratt from Birmingham, England. By which we mean, of course, that the two of them get a Clue! That's right, we're finally back to your co-hosts' least favourite Scooby-Doo incarnation.
Unlike Switzerland, where this episode takes place, Luke and Evan are NOT neutral when it comes to critiquing this show. Like the Alps, there are highs and lows, to be sure, but on the whole this show isn't great. Rule of threes, so, uh, chocolate is a thing there, I guess? Swiss chocolate. Boom. Joke saved.

EP. 24 - "DID SOMEONE SAY 'TEAM'-UP?"
SCOOBY-DOO! TEAM-UP - ISSUE #30
Scooby-Doo! Team-Up is a comic series that has Mystery Inc. rub shoulders with some of Warner Bros.' most high-profile IPs. I mean, who wouldn't want to see Scoob and Shag meet DC greats like the, uh . . . Challengers of the Unknown? Hold on, let me see if I got that right . . .
I mean, it can't just be cruising through Gotham in the Batwing or adventuring alongside Jonny Quest. Sometimes the gang will need to join forces with other intrepid heroes, and you would not believe just how many make a reappearance in this issue-

EP. 23 - "JEEPERS, IT'S THE JAGUARO!"
THE SCOOBY-DOO SHOW - S3E8
Luke and Evan kick off the spookiest month of the year by covering the first of four horrifying Halloween episodes! Actually they don't do that. Instead they take listeners deep into the heart of the Amazon jungle, where the gang will discover what happens when a sabretooth tiger and a gorilla love each other very much.
While unfortunately it's a lot more trying not to die as opposed to solving a mystery, this episode's a lot of fun! I mean, sure, it doesn't sound like any of the creators knew a single fact about Brazil, but what a goofy-looking monster, right?. As a Rio resident might describe it, "É o cão chupando manga!"

EP. 22 - "THE Creeping CREATUREs"
SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERY INCorporated - S1E2
You may have read the internet comment "everyday we stray further from gods light". The same can be said of this podcast, except that "everyday" is "every week" and "gods light" is "the reasonable episode length of one hour or less". This one's the absolute longest yet, folks.
But hey, we're back to Mystery Inc.! This is one of the most narrative-driven Scooby shows out there, and we're absolutely loving the ride [albeit just once every eleven episodes]. Strap in for the usual snarky teens, sexual tension, and traps. Always lots and lots of traps.

EP. 21 - "THE CREATURE CAME FROM CHEM LAB / NO THANKS, MASKED MANX"
The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show - S1E4
A "stand-up guy" would is a pretty good description of Scooby-Doo, if you're cool with referring to dogs as guys. That typically means the person is "courageous or loyal", though, and not that they "literally stand up." The thing is, Scoob is on his hind legs so much this episode!
He stands up a lot at Hillside High and at the Blakes' Mansion, and it's really weird! Luke and Evan bring it up a bit, but not even that much! That's probably the true shared theme of this double episode. Oh, yeah, this week features one of those double episodes.

Ep. 20 - "A Bicycle Built for Boo"
A Pup Named Scooby-Doo - S1E1
Have you ever wondered why exactly that one cartoon was titled A Pup Named Scooby-Doo? No? Your curiosity notwithstanding, this week Luke and Evan return to recapping the gang's childhood adventures, and even come up with a very compelling theory that explains its name.
Now granted, the two hosts also tiptoe around the fact that Shaggy's paperboy job appears to have broken a few child labour laws, but there wasn't enough time! They firmly believe in ethical job conditions for all, but also that their episodes shouldn't run longer than two hours.

ep. 19 - "Masked Mystery Mix-Up"
Scooby-DOo, Where Are You! - S2E2
Remember that one time when your best friend/significant other/respected person in your life betrayed your trust/deeply disappointed you/failed to live up to your expectations? Well, in many ways that's what "Mystery Mask Mix-Up" was for the Scooby Dudes.
Racism is never a good look, but it's not always recognized as such, and certainly wasn't in the early 70s when Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! first aired. This week Luke, who is friends with POC, and Evan, an actual POC, recap a deeply problematic episode, spotlighting its sins while still making sure to note the silver linings as well.

ep. 18 - "Mystery 101"
Be Cool, Scooby-DOo! - S1E1
Are you ready to be taken higher? No, not to the place where blind men see, we're talking about higher education! The very first episode of Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! brings us to Kingston University, an institution with a particularly horrific method of vetting its prospective students.
While the thought of postsecondary ed. and the staggering financial burden that comes with it are a frightening enough prospect for most, Evan and Luke are just too darn excited! This is the show that inspired Scooby Dudes, and they're eager to share the absolute best the franchise has to offer!

ep. 17 - "Scoobra Kadoobra"
The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo - S1E2
Not to be mistaken for "Scuba Cat Tuba", which is the underwater feline musical that Luke and Evan are going to start shopping around once they can clear a few instrumental rights, the episode your daring duo are covering this week is the second installment of The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo.
It's not just gem-studded ladles that make an appearance in the gang's quest to capture the first of the spirits, either! There are also impromptu jingles, wizard's duels, and even a mysterious sleeping beauty. Flim-Flam and Scrappy even manage to add to the fun, which some might call the truest magic of all.

ep. 16 - "I Left My Neck in San Francisco"
SCOOBY-Doo & Scrappy-Doo - S1E10
Do you remember going to sleepovers as a child and, in the near pitch black of their bedroom, seeing the barest outline of your friend's face, except their eyes were wide open staring back at you? This episode is kind of like that, except funny and not scary.
It's Scooby-Doo & Scrappy-Doo and Shaggy who are under the impression that Daphne might be a vampire, specifically one of the San Francisco Bay variety. Will their suspicions win out, forcing them to devise ways of slaying their former companion? Probably not, but you'll have to listen to find out!

Ep. 15 - "WAITING FOR THE END OF THE WORLD / WHEN SHAGGY MET SCOOBY!"
SCOOBY APOCALYPSE - ISSUE #1
So this is how the world ends, not with a bang, but with the worldwide dispersal of nanites that transform every last vestige of humanity. Or is it? Scooby Apocalypse #1 sets up the fall of civilization with the gang at ground zero!
We're taking a break from covering Scoob on your TV screen to tackling those meddling kids in panel after four-colour panel. It's a newer, hipper version of that Great Dane and his four human friends, with more grit, tattoos, and cybernetic enhancements than you're probably used to. Strap in, because this Armageddon's going to be a bumpy ride.

EP. 14 - "THE Fast and the Wormious"
What's New, SCOOBY-DOO? - S2E3
Driving can be dangerous. You have to watch out for pedestrians, traffic signals, other drivers, and, as this episode of What's New, Scooby-Doo? relays, gigantic desert sandworms. I can't remember what to do with those, something about checking your blindspots-
Tune in this week to hear Evan and Luke talk about video games, probably more than they need to! Gain a very slight understanding of Frank Herbert's magnum opus! Find out what in the world "Nuevo Mexico" could possibly translate to!
Learn. Laugh. Love. This is Scooby Dudes.

EP. 13 - "THE Ghostly Creep from the Deep"
THE New SCOOBY-DOO Movies - S1E12
Everybody get up, it's time to slam now. We got a real jam goin' down, welcome to ANOTHER EPISODE OF SCOOBY DUDES. This week we're covering "The New Scooby-Doo Movies", a show which always featured guest stars. That said, what better time to have Luke and Evan host the podcast?
What you get is what you get, folks. We have a hard time recording remotely as is. But hey, you're still getting to hear about Mystery Incorporated meeting the Harlem Globetrotters for the first time, and discover Luke's illicit past with team sports! Evan is there too, I guess.

EP. 12 - "THE WARLOCK OF WIMBLEDON"
THE SCOOBY-DOO SHOW - S3E15
Do you like tennis and other sports? How about male magic-users and their cannibalistic canine companions? If you answered "no" to either of those questions this is probably not the podcast for you! Or maybe it is. Maybe Evan and Luke are just likeable enough to win you over.
That's a pretty big maybe, but this is also a pretty excellent episode of The Scooby-Doo Show. Discover the dangers of holding a spotlight out of a moving van skylight! Be astonished at how many words a fully grown man can mispronounce! Learn little to nothing about the world's oldest tennis tournament! All that and more, for the low-low price of $0.00!

EP. 11 - "BEWARE THE BEAST FROM BELOW"
SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERY INCORPORATED - S1E1
Our episode covering the first installment of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated is one of our longest to date. And speaking of "two dates", that's exactly what our gang would be on if Fred and Shaggy were more aware, or receptive, of Daphne and Velma's respective advances. More teen drama, just as much mystery!
Luke and Evan are your tour guides to Crystal Cove, The Most Hauntedest Place on Earth, where a subterranean Slime Mutant is far from the first, and certainly not the last, creature to beset the town. Calling it a tourist trap would be putting it lightly, and is probably why Fred has stuck around as long as he has. (Traps, that kid really loves traps.)

EP. 10 - "JEEPERS, IT'S THE CREEPER"
SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU! - S2E4
Have you ever been out trying to have a good time only for some guy to show up who just won't leave you alone? Some guy with a greenish pallor, horrendous posture, and a vocabulary limited to monstrous groans and their own name? Well you may just be trapped in this episode of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!
Evan and Luke tackle an episode that has everything. The gang go to a dance, and their pairings are sure to [not] surprise you! Scooby becomes a parent! An unhinged mountain man forces something into Shaggy's mouth! I could keep on loosely and borderline inaccurately describing further, but you should probably just listen to it already.

EP. 9 - "SHAGS TO RICHES"
SHAGGY & SCOOBY-DOO GET A CLUE! - S1E1
What do you love about Scooby-Doo? Is it Mystery Inc. and all five of its members working together? Revealing the culprit behind the mask? The ghost, ghoul, or monster they masquerade as? If so, then Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! is probably not for you!
That doesn't mean that this episode of Scooby Dudes isn't, though, because Luke and Evan are here to share their experiences with the show and what exactly they liked about it (and all the things they didn't). They're so close they're practically Brothers, so why not join them on their latest podcasting Venture?

EP. 8 - "THE SCARAB LIVES!"
SCOOBY-DOO AND SCRAPPY-DOO - S1E1
In the first episode of Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo we have the heroic Blue Scarab turning to a life of thievery and terrorism! What has happened to this broad-shouldered adonis of a man? Could it be that in this case it is really beauty who is the beast?
The Scooby Dudes are here to cover the first appearance of Scrappy-Doo, because presumably at least one of you asked for it. That's right, it's a podcast on the origins of Puppy Power™! You can stop reading this now, because it's time to let you at 'em, let you at 'em!

EP. 7 - "THE FALL DOG / THE SCOOBY COUPE"
THE NEW SCOOBY AND SCRAPPY-DOO SHOW - S1E10
Evan's fast, Luke's furious, and together they are . . . the Scooby Dudes, obviously. Duh. But also they're talking about an episode of "The New Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show" that features multiple cars parachuting down from great heights! That's the kind of automotive chaos Vin Diesel enjoys best, and was presumably named for.
Buckle in for a podcast that puts the pedal to the meddling kids. This week there are the usual two co-hosts. But also two dogs! Two teenagers(?)! Two mysteries! Two . . . engines, probably? In some of the vehicles? This is too much. It's time to go to bed.

EP. 6 - "A SCOOBY-DOO HALLOWEEN"
WHAT'S NEW, SCOOBY-DOO? - S2E6
Are you ready to listen to the most lit podcast episode of 2017? Using "lit" because that's what it would have to be given all of the fiery hot takes about the current political administration in the States. Your co-hosts are dropping straight truth napalm, basically.
All in the interest of comedy, of course. There's so much modern humour and metacommentary in What's New, Scooby-Doo? that it's surprising they had time resist at all! Or is it persist? Their general confusion regarding words is definitely a preexisting condition.

EP. 5 - "SCOOBY DUDE"
A PUP NAMED SCOOBY-DOO - S1E9
Do you live in and enjoy the sunny state of California? No? Well, are you at least familiar with the "SNL" recurring sketch "The Californians"? Perfect, our episode covering "Scooby Dude", from a A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, should be right up your alley!
This is 60-ish minutes of a podcast on 20-ish minutes of TV that took the relationships between precocious kids and mystery-solving AND drugs and skateboard culture and mashed them together. There's no reason it should work and, well, you'll have to listen to find out!

EP. 4 - "TO ALL THE GHOULS I'VE LOVED BEFORE"
THE 13 GHOSTS OF SCOOBY-DOO - S1E1
Have you ever felt like 14 ghosts was too many, but 12 was not quite enough? If so you're in luck, because the Scooby Dudes are covering the first episode of The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo!
Even though the series is a pretty big departure from most Scooby-Doo norms, this is still the exact same podcast you know and love. If the names Bogel, Weerd, Vincent Van Ghoul, and Flim-Flam don't mean anything to you now, they will once you've listened to this episode!

EP. 3 - "A NIGHT OF FRIGHT IS NO DELIGHT"
SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU! - S1E16
Things that are not delights: root canals, forgetting someone's name in the middle of a conversation, nights of fright. Things that are delights: bank errors in your favour, puppies, and (hopefully) listening to this podcast!
The third episode of Scooby Dudes was originally its fifth, but as far as rescheduling due to technical difficulties this cloud is literally all silver linings, because it's one of the best yet. Not only that, but two ghouls means you're getting 1.5 times more podcast, because Luke and Evan are bad at math!

EP. 2 - "MAKE A BEELINE AWAY FROM THAT FELINE"
THE SCOOBY-DOO SHOW - S3E9
Evan and Luke love hosting this podcast, correcting each other, all of the little details that they each each bring up about the episodes they cover, and that you're reading this description.
In their second episode they take on the superbly titled "Make a Beeline Away from that Feline", which somehow manages to be at least as good as its rhyme, if not even better.

EP. 1 - "WHAT A NIGHT FOR A KNIGHT"
SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU! - S1E1
You know what's scary? Haunted suits of armour, obviously. Also: the fact that somehow lifelong friends Luke and Evan found out how to record and release their very own podcast.
Tune in to their first-ever episode of Scooby Dudes where they cover the first-ever piece of Scooby-Doo media! It's not all tangents and bad jokes, but if you like those you are going to LOVE this.
