CORRECTIONS/CLARIFICATIONS

  • 15:23 - Ayer’s Rock is now better known by its Aboriginal name, Uluru.

  • 33:34 - Evan was referencing a quote from the 1982 Arnold Schwarzenegger film Conan the Barbarian, “Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of the women!”

  • 43:27 - Scuba stands for “self-contained underwater breathing apparatus”.

The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show
SEASON 1, EPISODE 1

10/15/2018 - At one point in this episode Scooby and Shaggy are swimming along the ocean floor and it is not unlike when Pinocchio did the same in his self-titled Disney film, yet Evan and Luke made no point to utter “Monstro-o-o-o-o” as if they too were underwater. What a travesty.

To be fair, neither co-host takes the opportunity to quote the infamous viking warcry of, uh . . . you know . . . that viking warcry everyone is familiar with. If you’re not quite sure which one just ask a friend.

  • 18:23 - Ratatouille is actually one of Evan’s favourite Pixar films. That’s mostly because it’s about food, and Evan loves food.

  • 23:09 - The “anachronistic use of red-dotted boxers” can be traced back to the 1985 arcade game Ghosts ‘n Goblins, in which a knight named Sir Arthur will, when damaged, shed his armour to reveal the aforementioned undergarments.

  • 26:07 - The video title isn’t wrong, this is a funny scene from Kung Fu Hustle. Apologies for it being the English dub.

  • 36:03-39 - Go read Luke 8:22-25. It is and was a very funny joke.

  • 5030 - The most commonly shared cover of Giant-Size Man-Thing is probably Issue #5, as it features the titular character carrying an unconscious woman.
