At first, the gang had laughed, assuming it was a joke. Everyone had seen this gag a hundred times. But then a wicked smile crept across Fred’s uncle’s face. He opened his palm and repeated the words:

“Got your nose, Freddie.”

There are so many map scenes in this episode it’s as if the writers didn’t think viewers would believe it was really Pompeii unless they proved it geographically.

Fred and Scooby had no idea the tour guide spoke goose.

It can be fun to guess at which scene was done by coloring legend Jimmy “Royal Purp” Purdue.

Fred has the unmistakable look of a young man who didn’t want this to be the way that he came out to his parents.

Daphne had never thought of herself as the kind of girl to just grab some old Italian dude’s ancient candlestick, but she pleasantly surprised herself.

Daphne wasn’t kidding - they did have much bigger candlesticks in Italy.

“Gimme your lunch money,” whispered Fred.

“You monster! He’s a breakfast boy through and through - he doesn’t even eat lunch!”

“And this is where I would have liked to kiss him, if he wasn’t the bad guy.”

“I might have liked to do some stuff with this right here, too. Y’know, if he wasn’t the villain.”
