Animator: "So how are we going to make the bats sound Chinese?"

Sound Engineer: "Do you really think that's necessa-"

Animator: "HOW ARE WE GOING TO MAKE THE BATS SOUND CHINESE-"

Velma explains that the episode we are about to watch is a product of its time and depicts some of the ethnic and racial prejudices that were commonplace in U.S. society. These depictions were wrong then and they are wrong today. While the following do not represent the Scooby Dudes view of today's society, these cartoons are being presented as they were originally created, because to do otherwise would be the same as claiming that these prejudices never existed..

Shaggy: "Can you not crack your knuckles on my skull?"

In its earlier episodes Mystery Horror Theatre 3000 unwisely chose to have its cast stand up during the films.

Although most of what the villain said was bleeped out, his gesture went a long way towards implying his threat.

Velma: "I just heard that dog over there say you aren't swoll as heck, Scoob."

Mr. Fong: "For the last time, I am not and have never been a James Bond Villain."

Fun fact: because of this episode seatbelts were invented.

Despite the gang's protestations Freddie maintained that he was not lost.

In the Scooby-Doo/Flintstones crossover Scoob was sadly relegated to the stone age role of windshield wiper.

In the years that followed, Velma often thought back on the look of serenity that washed over Fred's face at that moment. Was it the fish? Was it her? Velma never did find out what was going through Fred's mind as their fingers met inside of a carp. 

Velma: "She can liberate herself when she's ready, SIR."

Shaggy attempts to explain to Scooby just how drunk Scooby is.

Ha ha ho boy. We can all relate to this moment amirite. All day every day. This stuff. 

It was in that moment that the villains realized they were bad but not, like, evil.

Scooby and Shaggy decline to tread on the right side of history.

Fred: "I hate to admit it, but I think we might be bad at twerking."

As punishment for spreading racist stereotypes regarding Asian culture, Scooby and Shaggy are sentenced to death by Chinese firework. 

Shaggy and Scooby realize that they are the real villains.

Fred should have specified that he only wanted Scooby to sniff out some clues. 

Zen Tuo on a rocket skateboard: "So do you come here often?"

Detective: "Holy crap. Your dog is huge. Like, won't live past 3 years old due to heart conditions huge. Or maybe this nerdy girl is really small. Actually, how far apart are we really standing? I should have worn my contacts today."

Studies show that 2/3 Scooby-Doo villains are regretful of their actions.

Animator: "Can I make one last thing a racist stereotype?"

Boss Animator: "Sure why not."
